The Children’s Act 38 of 2005 requires that Parenting Plans be mediated when parents separate. Furthermore, the regulation forms require that certain aspects be provided in the Parenting Plan.
This course covers the rationale behind parenting plans as well as the process to follow when mediating a parenting plan. Apart from discussing types of mediation and how to deal with difficulties in mediation the course offers an in-depth insight into the many various aspects that can be included in a parenting plan. Ethical dilemmas will also be discussed.
Attendees will receive examples of Parenting Plans and templates to use.
The course is accredited by NABFAM and HPCSA accreditation is pending.
